Build log/#002/Scope

Two languages, not eight

We listed everything we wanted to teach, then had an uncomfortable conversation.

The plan was to launch with eight tracks, because eight looks impressive on a landing page and because we genuinely want to teach all of them eventually.

Then we costed one track properly — writing it, testing it on people who don’t already know the answer, rewriting it, checking every exercise actually runs. Multiply by eight and the honest answer was that everything would be mediocre and late.

So: Python and JavaScript at launch, done properly. Roblox Luau, C#, C++, TypeScript, HTML/CSS and SQL after, in an order the waitlist gets a say in.

The page still lists all eight, but it says which two are real. We’d rather look smaller and be accurate.
